Coming November 7, 2013. Our friends at Call of the Wild alerted us to a special tour of theirs called Nepal: Annapurna Base Camp which commemorates the 35th anniversary of the first American team to summit the world’s tenth highest mountain. It’s significant to note that this American team was lead by mountaineering legend Arlene Blum along with her team, the Women’s Himalayan Expeditions. It also happens to be the 35th anniversary of Call of the Wild, the world’s longest-running women’s-only adventure travel company. The 17-day trek to Annapurna Base Camp, at 13,550 feet, is a moderate to challenging climb with mega rewards as you enjoy the 360-degree views of the Himalayan peaks, known as the ‘Throne of the Mountain Gods’. Join Call of the Wild on this exciting tribute to wonderful, athletic women everywhere!
