Suunto Ambit Silver

Coming very soon: Suunto’s Ambit Silver, the ultimate wristwatch… GPS, temperature, 3D compass, barometric altitude, heart rate monitor, accelerometer, etc. etc. Actually, it might be better to think of this, not as a wristwatch, but as a system of instruments that happens to be attached to your wrist. If you’ve never heard of Suunto, the company is based in Finland and was founded in 1936 by Tuomas Vohlonen, the Finnish orienteer and inventor of the liquid-filled field compass. Suunto is now another division of the Amer Sports Corporation (the same folks who own Salomon, Arc’teryx, Atomic, Wilson and Precor).
