We had the distinct pleasure of testing their Beeswax Food Wraps. They have wraps of various sizes and pouches that are created using certified organic cotton in pretty prints, pure beeswax, natural tree resin, and organic jojoba butter. They are a natural, healthy, sustainable alternative to plastic wrap. So easy to use, just warm the wraps up with your hands which softens the wax, then shape the wrap around whatever food you need to store – they stick to themselves and create a seal. They work at room temperature and in the refrigerator and don’t impart any flavor on the food inside. So far, we’ve wrapped sandwiches, cheese, fruit, bowls of leftovers, and some nuts. Once you’ve finished the food, rinse the wraps in cold water and a little bit of dishwashing liquid and let air dry. They are supposed to last for around a year, after which they can be put in the compost bin since they are completely biodegradable.
