Celebrating 800 years of liberty. This year marks the 800th anniversary since the Magna Carta was agreed upon by King John and his barons, limiting authoritarian rule and marking the corner stone of modern freedom. Six trails have been created that highlight key locations and associations with this significant period of history. Besides the original 1215 Magna Carta, follow King John’s footsteps, visit medieval cities, and enjoy a number of anniversary events and celebrations throughout England.
