GU Chomps

With so many energy foods on the market, it’s hard to choose which ones work. And by work, we mean which are easily digestible, have the right mix of ingredients (carbs, vitamins, electrolyte replacements, etc.), taste good and travel well. These new Chomps by GU have been fitting the bill perfectly for our hikes these last couple of weeks. The consistency is better than gummy’s, almost like a thin gel coating around a very soft and juicy body, and that made them quick to digest. They have a good blend of ingredients that gave us a quick pick-up right when we needed it, and the packs turned out to be perfect for single servings on our hike. And which is our favorite flavor so far? Orange.
