Attention TrailblazerGirl hikers – we’ve found another long distance trail to explore. The Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) covers almost 1,000 miles across North Carolina from Clingmans Dome in the Great Smoky Mountains to Jockey’s Ridge on the Outer Banks. Spring and fall are the ideal times to visit the MST which is the highest elevation, long-distance trail in the eastern United States. With a little over half of the trail completed, you’ll see a wide array of scenery from sand dunes and seashores to mountain vistas and pine forests to quaint colonial towns.
