One of the newest inscriptions to UNESCO’s World Heritage List…Lena Pillars Nature Park in the Sakha Republic (Russia). Impressive, large rocks in the shape of pillars, spires, towers, arches, and colonnades line the banks of the Lena River, the 10th longest river in the world. The site also contains a wealth of Cambrian fossil remains of numerous species. The pillars are reportedly one of the remotest natural wonders in the world and can only be reached by boat on the Lena river.
