Coming January 16, 2013. “The Switzerland of America,” as Ouray, Colorado is nicknamed, offers plenty of winter activities and events, and amongst the best is The Sampler Ice Climbing Clinic with Chicks with Picks. This clinic offers 3 days of ice climbing, with a 4-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio, that focuses on the technical skills to become a self-sufficient ice climber. As with other Chicks with Picks events, you’ll enjoy the camaraderie and an opportunity to network with other women interested in climbing. And by the way… here at The Ice Park, you’ll find more than 200 ice and mixed climbs, most within just a 15-minute walk of the entrance.
