Thought by some to be the most haunted castle in the UK, Chillingham Castle offers Ghost Tours to get you into the Halloween mood! This medieval castle in the the northern part of Northumberland, England, is steeped in history dating back to 1344 as a fully fortified castle complete with dungeons and torture chambers and a fair share of resident ghosts such as the whimpering “blue boy,” the pantry’s frail “white lady,” and the perpetually lonesome Lady Mary. The very popular Ghost Tour explores the haunted areas of the Castle and grounds. According to the website, tours last around 2 hours, “depending on paranormal activity” and are restricted to those 16 and older (family tours are available on specific dates).
