Base 2 Space

Coming October 1, 2017. Have you visited Seattle’s Space Needle? Probably, but you probably haven’t climbed up it. Now, for the third time in its 55 year history, you can, with the Base 2 Space race! Get ready for a unique opportunity to ascend an open-air stairway that takes you from the base of this iconic structure to the Observation Deck. That’s 832 steps, 52 stories, and big bragging rights! Stunning views of downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, Lake Union, and the Olympic Mountains reward hardy runners and walkers, with the fastest finishing in 5-7 minutes, while the average participant takes 20-30 minutes. Best of all, 100% of all donations raised go to the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. A worthy cause and a memorable climb!
