BADWATER Salton Sea

Coming April 30, 2017. Twenty eight hours to complete 81 miles with a total elevation gain of over 9000 feet. Just some of the challenges of the BADWATER Salton Sea. Two or three person teams run together (this is not a relay) starting at Salton City (elevation 234 feet below sea level) and finishing at Palomar Mountain (elevation 5500 feet). Teams will battle sand storms, scorching temperatures, cool temperatures, cacti, steep, steep climbs, and darkness as they race along a mix of roads and trails through the California desert and mountains. To say this ultramarathon is a challenge is definitely an understatement and certainly an adventure!
