Coming August 5, 2017. Cycle the sweetest smelling tour around! It’s the Tour de Lavender in Sunny Sequim (pronounced: “skwim”). Known throughout Washington as one of the few areas in this often rainy state that experiences sunny skies, a mediterranean climate, and low rainfall, Sequim also is well known for its fields of lavender, rivaling those found in France’s Provence region. Two events are offered: a Metric Century and a Fun Ride. The Metric Century takes riders through back roads and the Olympic Discovery Trail and includes technical support. The Fun Ride is a family-friendly tour of up to 35 miles on level roads and trails and includes visits to lavender farms. Cycle America’s Provence with the Tour de Lavender!
