Angama Mara, Maasai Mara

Experience the Great Migration! In the late summer and early fall, the vast herds of wildebeest and zebra cross the Mara River traveling through the Maasai Mara National Reserve, considered to be one of the best reserves in Kenya. Angama Mara, inspired by the Swahili word for suspended in mid-air, is perched above this reserve with sweeping views of this amazing area. There are two totally separate camps with just 15 luxurious tents each, and a Pavilion, set between the two camps, where you’ll find a shop, a swimming pool, and a fitness room. Game drives, hot air ballon excursions, and walking safaris can be arranged to view the abundant herds, as well as Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
