The Alchemist – Backcountry Skiing with Chicks with Stix

Coming February 1, 2017. Get away from it all with Chicks with Stix’s The Alchemist – Backcountry Skiing clinic. Spend 3 full days in the backcountry of Colorado, making fresh tracks on Red Mountain Pass. This clinic is designed for those intermediate to expert alpine skiers and riders with NO previous backcountry experience. There will be instruction on winter travel skills, avalanche knowledge, terrain management, and plenty of hands-on (or should we say, skis on!) backcountry skiing under the guidance of AMGA Certified Ski Guides and recognized avalanche instructors. Lodging includes 2 nights at the Mountain Belle backcountry ski hut and 2 nights in Ouray at the start and end of the course. All meals, avalanche safety gear (shovel, beacon, probe), and a welcome bag are also included. Fresh powder and fresh mountain air to kick off 2017!
