No, it’s not a giant dinosaur egg. It’s Ecocapsule, a soon-to-be-available self-sufficient “house” from Nice Architects, an architectural studio based in Bratislava, Slovakia. This compact cutie has a bed big enough for two adults, a built-in kitchenette with running water, a toilet and a hot shower. It’s covered with high-efficiency solar cells, has a retractable pole holding a 750W wind turbine, and a rainwater collection and filtration system. It will be shipped in a standard shipping container and will eventually have a chassis in order to travel with the capsule. A futuristic new take on a micro-dwelling.
