Coming April 25, 2015. It’s not just about the horses! The Kentucky Derby Festival Marathon and miniMarathon is a great way to kick-off this famous thoroughbred horse race. Both the marathon and the half marathon start on Main Street in downtown Louisville and head through the main gates of Churchill Downs (yes, the historic race course!). It’s a mostly flat course with the exception of a hilly stretch through Iroquois Park for the full marathon racers. Celebrate your accomplishment with a mint julep!
