Race Across South Africa

Coming June 7, 2015. This is for die-hard TrailblazerGirl bikers only! The Race Across South Africa is a 2,300 km mountain bike event from Pietermaritzburg, along the Freedom Trail to Diemersfontein (outside Wellington). It is a non-stop, unsupported race, limited to 60 participants, and must be completed within 26 days (the record is an amazing 10 days, 16 hours, and 40 minutes). Terrain is varied including mountains, semi-deserts, multiple river crossings, and 37,000 metres of cumulative vertical ascent. Definitely requires some serious training!
